I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask my question ^^', dA doesn't have many film groups.
I want to be a director/screenwriter, and although that's years away from now, I want to get a head start. I've already started 2 screenplays (one is a short) with some friends, and I want to be able to film them as soon as I can. The problem is, I don't have a camera.
I haven't filmed with a professional camera before, so I want a camera that will be reasonably priced, professional, easy to use, and easy for a beginner to understand. I don't want a flip or a hand-held video camera and I'd prefer it to be Panasonic (but all options will be considered).
TL;DR: I want a professional film camera that'd be suited for a beginner. Reasonably priced, easy to use and understand, not a flip or home-video-camera.

Hi, I just had a quick question about submitting films. I submitted a pencil test but on the deviation page it says the film is being processed and to check back soon. Is this normal, and if so does it usually take over a day for it to process? I'm not trying to sound impatient, I'm just wondering if I did something wrong. Any help is appreciated.
