Hi, I submitted my application, well, my first application, sometime last year, I think. Or maybe it was JUST after 2014 started. I honestly can't recall, I've been so busy. Anyway, I sent in a new application almost a month ago, when I realized that the youtube address I submitted was a partial of the whole piece. I noted the 10 seconds minimum thing, but missed that it needed to be the whole finished piece. So I reapplied.

I did some reading on this page, and I see the backlog has things at about a month waiting time. I AM curious as to why I didn't hear anything in Note or the e-mail I supplied for the First application, not even a rejection notice...

Anyway, I also wanted to suggest that maybe the application could have an additional box where applicants can talk (a little) about their experience with film or animation? I believe I selected Amateur, even though it is listed below Student, because I'm not YET a student, what I have been able to animate, to poetry or music, I've had to figure it out on my own, nobody around here teaches animation. So I have no formal training, and to me that signifies Amateur moreso than Student. ;)

So, yeah, I just wanted to include something about my experience, not sure if it will help my application or not. And make that suggestion regarding the application. Do you guys actually send out rejection notices? I'm hoping my work is good enough to be invited. I know I've got a LOT to learn, and it'd be neat to be able to converse with people who know more about animation than I currently do. :) But if I do get rejected, it'd be nice to know so I can move on with things, maybe try another application in the future if my present one isn't good enough. (I hope it is though!)

As much as I'd like to know one way or the other, no rush on my Application. This comment is all I wanted to accomplish tonight.

Thanks for considering my app!

Hello,

Have you still not heard? If so, I encourage you to please apply again. It is unlikely, but possible, that the email confirmation did not go through for your application. If that was the case, please make sure you keep an eye out even in your spam folder. The address will be from @deviantart.com

Thanks so much for reaching out, and I apologize for the wait.

I've been waiting over two weeks now to be approved to submit films. I even sent in a second application a bit ago just in case they somehow did not get the first.

Is it suppose to take this long?

Hello,

Your application should have been processed by this time, it can sometimes take up to a month for applications to process. If you haven't received any confirmation, please let me know.

I  have known it to take up to a month in some cases, can't really advise much other than to wait I'm afraid.

Hello! I'm not an admin but I noticed your question and wanted to provide an answer.

My application process took a little over three weeks. So yes, it can indeed take that long. Be patient, I don't think sending multiple applications will help, on the contrary, it can slow things down.

Hello, in light of questions of some deviants on the latest site update regarding Films, I've been informing myself about the application process, and found the following:

I'm unsure whether this is intended.
